Can I have more than one domain, or subdomain in the format subdomain.mydomain.com, on my web hosting account?

Yes, this is now possible with our CPanel Accounts which are more suited to Resellers.


Can I have more than one URL pointing to my account?

Yes, this is easily arranged. Any additional URLS will point at index.html in the main www directory. Note that this means it is not possible to resell parts of your package with separate access (neither by URL nor FTP). You can resell space in the form yourdomainname.co.nz/resoldname, but you must handle all the upkeep (unless you disclose your username and password to the resold account buyer - which is very strongly discouraged).


Can I use telnet to manage my account?

Yes, if you are familiar with telnet and assure us you know what you are doing this is possible, however telnet can only be used with SSH. Please contact us if you wish to use telnet and we will enable you account for SSH. You must then upload an RSA encrypted key and use a secure, SSH enabled telent programme to be able to access your account. See Chapter 5 of the online manual for further information.


Can I allow public access to my statistics?

Not directly, unless you provide users with your username and password (which is definitely not recommended), since statistics are contained in a protected directory only accessible to you. You could, however, publish parts of your statistics file by transferring them to an html table, or similar, in a non-protected directory or file.


How do I register domain names for my clients?

Before you can register a domain name you must first setup an account so that you can provide the registering organisation with nameserver information. When requesting a New Account use the comments box to request registration of a .com domain. Note that registration fees are non refundable, so ensure that you are able to collect the fee from your client otherwise you may be left holding an undesired .com address.
