External History Report

The External History Report displays the history of any selected external links(s). The External History capability must be enabled by the LinkScan Administrator in order to use this report.

Use this report to examine the history of a specific link to establish, for example, whether a given link is producing timeout errors on a consistent basis, or just occasionally.

Usage

Enter the URL of the link you wish to check:

Note that you may enter the first part of a URL such as:

http://www.example.com/somedir/

and the report will find all links that point to the somedir directory of www.example.com.

Alternatively, you may make the query more specific and force an exact match by adding a dollar symbol at the end of the URL:

http://www.example.com/somedir/$

Or you can make the query more general by using the .* wildcard:

.*example.com/some
